Passengers and cargoes on board river boats.
Yesterday the 6.8. Lung Shan reached Hong Kong at 3.p.m. with 62 passengers and a very small cargo. On the day before yesterday she proceeded to Canton with 93 passengers.
On the day before yesterday, the s.s. Tai Shan arrived at Hong Kong at 9 p.m. with 40 passengers,
100 baskets vegetables and 40 bales camlets, and she returned to Canton with 130 passenger s
The s.s. San Nam Hoi carried to Hong Kong 527 passengers and 1,223 packages of goods, and went back to Kong-mun with 384 passengers.
The s.s. Sai On came to Hong Kong at 3 p.m. with
1,017 passengers and 150 packages of piece goods, which
could not be landed on arrival at Canton, and were there-
fore sent back. The reason why this steamer had not much cargo, is because it was Sunday yesterday, and is
holiday for the Canton Customs.
